BALTIMORE – Night Market is traditionally the biggest and most far-reaching event for jhuTASA. This year was no different: Hundreds of Hopkins students came to the Mattin Courtyard on the afternoon of Saturday, April 17, to enjoy free food, games, and music. In several ways, though, Night Market 2010 was unprecedented by events of the past.
For one, we were extraordinarily blessed to have both Tim Be Told and returning guest artist Cynthia Lin performing during the event. It was certainly a pleasure to hear all of the wonderful music that they made, and to get to meet them afterward, take pictures with them, and go home with their songs still ringing in our heads.

In addition to the free Chinese food, Bubble tea, and street games we have had in the past, we also featured new booths: sushi making, free egg tarts, and Chinese yo-yo. Thanks to our many volunteers, we were able to share many aspects of Taiwanese culture with the Hopkins community.
